UniConnected brings students, academics, alumni and industry partners together in one platform. You create a simple profile based on your skills, interests and goals, and the platform helps you discover opportunities that match; such as projects, placements, jobs, mentoring or collaborations. Organisations and academics can also find students whose interests align with their needs. UniConnected isn’t a public job board; it’s a guided matching system that helps the right people connect at the right time.

What information should I put on my profile?

Your profile should help organisations understand your strengths while keeping you safe online.
What type of organisations use UniConnected?
All different types of organisations from a range of sectors can use UniConnected. We are still pretty new, so keep checking back as we grow!
Why can’t I see any job adverts?
UniConnected isn’t a public job board, so you won’t see traditional job advertisements. Instead, opportunities are shared directly to you by organisations and universities, and the platform matches you to roles based on your profile, skills and interests. As new opportunities are added, relevant matches will appear for you.
I am a student at another University. Can I use UniConnected?
You will be able to create a profile and register for our open employment opportunity pools in early 2026. Please contact us for more information.

What type of organisations can create a profile on UniConnected?
Businesses must have a valid ABN or ACN to register on the platform.

How do I post a job advert?
UniConnected doesn’t use public job advertisements. Instead, organisations create a short list of matched students or users whose skills and interests align with their requirements. Selected students are invited to interview. Simply go to the employment opportunity pool. Enter the details of the role and the type of applicant you are interested in, and the platform will surface the most suitable candidates in seconds!
As an organisation, what employment conditions must we consider?
All businesses and organisations using UniConnected must comply with Australian workplace laws, including Fair Work requirements, when engaging students or alumni through the platform. They must also agree to and follow UniConnected’s Terms and Conditions, which outline appropriate use, safety standards, and expectations for fair and lawful engagement with all users.
How much does it cost to register and use UniConnected?
To access the employment opportunities where you can search talent and create a short list in seconds, there are different subscription levels to suit your needs. Check out the Opportunities page. If you are participating in a University connected opportunity such as an internship or mentoring, there is usually no cost to the organisation.
Alumni
When can I sign up as an alum?
We are working on our alumni profiles! Check back or send us an email and we will let you know when you can create your profile. In the meantime, you can register as an organisation and access the amazing talent as well as be open to contact for other opportunities such as mentoring, student projects, internships and more.
Academics
When will the Academic profile card be ready?
We are working on the academic profiles! In the meantime, if you have a WIL or other student focused program you would like some assistance to manage, please get in touch directly. We can set up an invitation only opportunity customised to your specific program or course needs.
